I remember when I was a child and football was for everybody, we could watch football games for free! But Football is not the people's game anymore. Not everybody can afford £100 on a football shirt, game tickets, Sky sports subscription, etc. Regular working class families can not afford these prices nowadays because football is all about profits, it is simply a business. Gary Neville and active players like Kevin De bruyne should reduce their salaries and fight for a more affordable football because this sport is not affordable for everybody if they are supporting "the people's game".

There is still work left to be done here, Ladies and Gents; just because the Big Six dropped out of this Super League (without any question down to the colossal shite storm their breakaway stirred up) doesn't mean the greed illness has been cured, nor does it mean that all is well and sunshine. Far from it. These clubs did this will-fully --- not out of ignorance or because they don't "understand the culture, the passion, the history, the love of Football, so on and so forth" --- give be a goddamn break! gary is so right!!, what i think hopefully without hurting somebody, what does tottenham in this decision? Do they have ever win any title, i am from germany so i dont know, tell me if you know. In germany i can tell you, no club EVER will join this company because our fans will just kill it. And the english fans got my biggest my respect for standing up. Football, Fußball, calcio, futbol, le footbal, or even Soccer if you want to call it ... this is a game of the working class people, this is our game, please dont compare it to any other sport in the world. Because this comparison wont be accurate. Thats why we have the 50+1 rule in germany. The 50+1 rule is not perfect but it ensures germany to have the 93% degree of capacity in the stadiums. Nearly Everybody has her or his club. We habe clubs in the 3rd !!!League with more Fans than an average NBA club (Like 1.Fc Kaiserslautern, Dynamo Dresden or MSV Duisburg have way more Fans than the Indiana Pacers, the Sacramento Kings, or Memphis Grizzlies) When corona is over, please come over here and see like 1.Fc Köln against Borussia mönchengladbach or Werder Bremen agains Hamburger SV or VfB Stuttgart against SC Freiburg. Football is first Culture, and second business

This so called break away league has now awaken everyone about football turning into a sport for community and the people into a money making industry, the funny thing is that this has happen every year and started from The 90s, getting worse and worst year on year Now all hell is let loose with this super league These so called greedy men who run football clubs, just saw how football changes over the years and now they want to take advantage, do you blame them as no one has opposed this greed in the past But now it’s not ok Let’s summarise key moments in football that turned the game in a money grabbing industry Establishment of the premier league back in 1992, they broke away from the football league due to lucrative television broadcasting money, But hang on, this money was only for the elite teams in uk, What happened to the lower clubs 🤔 Why no one opposed this back then🤔 Rising prices of football kits and season tickets Football is the heart of the community you say 🤔 Why has the prices of football kits and season tickets gone so high in recent years I won’t be surprised a pair of football socks will cost £100 any time soon, Don’t worry we won’t complain Rich owners buying clubs and spending millions on who ever they want to buy from All over the world What happens to the youth players and home grown talent from the uk, they will get a chance to play for their club they love We say football is for the people And for the community We can’t pick and choose, Hopefully this so called super league which get people seeing the ugly side of football Who knows Maybe one day a we see clubs slashing prices of football kits so everyone in the community can be able to afford one

The hypocrisy. The horse has already bolted. English football is already corrupt beyond recognition. The Premier League club owners reads like a list of Bond villains. The only English ones are two pornographers and a sweat shop operator. Is anyone really suggesting that Manchester City versus West Brom is competitive? It's only about who has the most money. 95% of the games are boring and one sided. Players who are paid too much are not interested in competing. I give it five more years and enough people will realise it simply NOT WORTH PAYING FOR.

The things that Gary Neville forget’s to mention are 1. 1992 football sold out when the top 5 English clubs persuaded the other 15 clubs to break away and form the Premiere League leaving behind the other 75 football clubs like Crewe, Bury and Rochdale and they did it for money and Sky were happy to cash in, as a football fan I feel like I’m getting ripped off paying £ 110 a month for sky sports 2. Football players wages are way to high something has to be done about it like putting a cap on salaries. Why should football club owners be expected to pay the players 90% of the of what the clubs earn, no wonder there trying to make extra money. 3. UEFA’S distribution of Champions League is not fair, 3 billion is made of the champions league every year and UEFA make 1.1billion of it while all clubs get a share of 1.9 billion between 32 football clubs. Football fans are being exploited by UEFA, FIFA and Sky and now the big clubs want to have all the power and cut the middle men out and exploit the fans for themselves and the ironic thing is that if the European Super league did ever happen Sky would definitely try and get the TV rights for it and the likes of Neville and Carragher would be happy coz they would get a pay rise. Football sold its self in 1992 thanks to sky so the last thing I want to see is sky pretending to save football, there nothing but a bunch of hypocrites

Football used to be the biggest thing in my life (from the point of view of a hobby and love of the game ) for more than 20 years and now I couldn't care less about it any more - I would struggle to name 10 current players in any current team or club (and this from a person who was a season ticket holder for over 20 years) and this u-tube post in a nutshell sums up why I couldn't care less about it any more - just a game dominated by greed and money obsessed owners who care nothing for the fans - but the owners are not the only greedy people in the game - far from it - as for fining the clubs for trying to form this "breakaway" league - they would just laugh their heads off - they would get all the money back from sales of club merchandise and putting the price up to see a game and of course the cost of a season ticket - football sickens me nowadays - I would be glad if it died a death
