This survey has been calculated using data taken from the extended car warranty data held by Warrantywise and the repairs they have received. A spokesman for Warranty Wise said: “Warrantywise does not release data for cars unless we have a minimum of 100 vehicles as a sample amount. This data relates to claims between 2010 and 2020 and may not represent the reliability of new vehicles as all of the data in the set is for vehicles over 3 years old.”

Damn I didn't European cars were that bad
European cars tend to be shitty.
Once Range Rover was cheap to repair
I own an Audi A7. Gearbox mechatronic failed at a cost of £4K :(
British & Germany: Most of the unreliable cars is from Europe Old Volvo: Don't staring at me, I am not on the list
We have a sonata and it is for 2017 and it is very reliable
When is he going to realise that there is no pop out banner?!
A range rover near me has collapsed air suspension at the back only so when it drives by it looks like a dog taking a dump.
So don't buy a german car plus once bought you can't sell one on as nobody wants it
T=trash E=expensive S=$hitty L=lame A=automobile
In my country,Hungary,Trabants were very popular cars back in the communist era. They were cheap and simple.Still today, there are some old timers of them on the roads.:D And actually the most powerful version had 40 hp with a 1,1 liter Volkswagen Polo engine.:D One of my friends has one and driving it is a feeling only this car gives.:D
Good video.
Top 3 1. Bentley Continental GT 2. Audi A7 3. BMW X6
1:28 that was so funny
Did I miss something there was no French cars on this list. I feel good about my new megane rs
EU list 🥴
All jaguars and range rovers are garbage , old cadilacs with the northstar v8s are one of the worste engines ever with the head gaskets problems. Subarus have had head gasket problems with there 2.5 liter engines (most of there cars) for ever really, people say volvos have good engines and they do but there transmissions have been garbage since the late 90s on alll there models. Acura tls have transmission issues. Lincoln ls with the v8s have transmissiom issues. Some of the early bmw v8s had problems with there timing chain guides. And allll bmws have problems with there cool systems and in higher mileage cars the vanos systems. The old e60 bmw m5s from like 2004 to somwhere around 2009 ish have all kinds of problems. The old mclarens 12cs break everything and you cant get parts for them. The early nissans and infinitys from the early 2000s all have problems with timing chain tensioners. And volkswagen and audi have all kinds of small problems. Thats all i know
These cars are too complex...too many things can and do go wrong as a result
His face in the thumbnail 😂
Bentley continental... German electrics and a German engine... along with all the other German cars on the list... mmm, maybe the German engineering myth really is just that, a myth. Certainly it does seem very much like that to me from experience of family and friends.
Would love to know how the probability is done, I mean if you measure the number of faults without noticing how many are insured then you are wrong. The cost of repairs is also an issue but not if it doesnt happen often or if you are reasonably competent and can do it yourself
How is the CLA not on this list?
We have a 2006 Volvo C70 2.5 t5 auto and it is the most unreliable car I have ever known. We’re thinking about getting a new gearbox as this one is old and the auto that comes with the se lux pack is absolutely rubbish.
Most unreliable car is the 2000 VW Beetle
What is the result of all ? As more parts and extras a car has, as more can brake down. The most reliable cars are small, cheap without any extras. But they are also boring options. Everything comes with a price and it doesn't stopp just by buying it. You can't get a beautiful woman with a warranty she will love you for ever no matter what.
Why are all nice cars unreliable?😂
BMW are the most Unreliable
Honda is the best ❤️
Now lets compare the price of the car and price of repairing it.
I’m not surprised loads of German cars are on here but I think it’s unfair to suggest they’re ‘built badly’ or ‘badly engineered’. Actually quite the opposite, because they’re finely tuned precision machines they need a lot of care put into them. I generally find any German cars which are well cared for will rarely do you wrong.
What's goin on with your facial hair my man? It's like the nose hairs are leaking out.
What the hell ! These companies opened from many years and they didn't learn from there mistakes , what a mess !
No italian cars ? Wow
Wait what?! The X5 is more reliable yet they are pretty much the same car!
The M4 didn't do bad so people can still buy it
I was expecting an Alfa to be on this list ngl
The Germans and Land Rover Range Rover are having a competition to see who can build the most unreliable cars!! Twenty thousand pounds engine repair, Holy Crap i would expect a whole NEW car and change!!
The momentous chicken contrarily saw because roadway ironically greet but a pastoral step-grandfather. trite, precious speedboat
You won't agree with some cars if you are a Consumer Reports fan
2 years ago I bought a low mileage 2014 Subaru Forester 2.0d. It was so unreliable that I traded it in within 9 months. The Subaru dealer that I bought it from was dishonest and incompetent. Subaru UK were just as bad. The dealer has now gone out of business. LOFL. I wouldn't touch a Subaru with somebody else's 10 foot barge pole! I now own a Kia Sportage. Very pleased with it.
I'm glad the Toyota Hiace and Camry are not among them. That's a relief. Cos I really like those vehicles.
Easy: everything French.
Lol idk why I’m even watching this I just know Toyota, Honda and Lexus
Love the humor geezer
I love Lexus
Everybody laughs at the Ssangyong Korando, I’d love to know the numbers. My two have been brilliant, absolutely faultless
7:09 That is absolutely crazy! And SHAME on you, BMW! What a Bull... of a Man's Wheels, so expensive but unreliable!
Vauxhall Insignia should be number one. What a peice of junk!
Notice how they are mostly German cars
Perhaps you could put Alfa Romeo in there. 😅 My cousin bought a brand new Alfa Romeo gulietta about 6 months ago and it’s drank loads of oil and blown the head gasket already. He had it fixed and then the engine started having faults again. After taking it back and forth the garage because he had it under a warranty we thought everything was great again. That was until the Gear box failed. He has since taken it back, had it repaired under warranty and sold it. He’s just bought the new Volvo XC-90 and it’s fantastic so far
There is no japanese car in this list which makes them more reliable than their Father (The Germans)
Yesssssss. Vw IS not here!
Maserati GranTurismo should have came in 1st. 😂
no alfa?
Welp that just shows how reliable Toyota is Lol
My gf just gt another BMW. She had to use a loaner VW for a week before her first drive. The car broke in minutes. I also just replaced the engine In my 550i . Had it 3 days had to send it back for new mounts. Got it back for two days had to send it back for a new alternator. .. long story short ...This man tells no lies.
When are buyers going to wake up to the fact that German cars are crap
No
26 dögum síðan
Not all German cars. My grandfather's e34 525ix went 200k miles with regular service no problem.
Buy *SuPrA!!!*
7:33 I have seen people driving these things
Intro song from dream manhunt
I own a 2012 lexus rx 450h and I have spend no moeny on repairs for that car but spend $2000 on my toyota camry and the falut was battery issue
So the extended warranty guys have made it to youtube ey
Sipa company in Iran 🇮🇷
And now I know why I won't buy a BMW car for life. This brand is in the head of the list
Not surprised that German cars are the worst,in Spain always see VW, Audi, Merc, Skoda, Seat, Bmw, on the back of Mapre recovery truck's.
All those who bought German thinking that they're reliable ! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
So, all the cars I’d actually want 🤷🏻♂️😂

Reliable but boring as batshit.
So many premium British and German cars. It's disgraceful. By the time someone like me could afford one i wouldn't bother.
The Ford lynx has also fine.
Well, my Father had a Ford lynx, but... Radiator problems😣
One of my father's friends bought a cayenne back in 2005, after just a week he was in Sicily for holyday. His Cayenne overheated a water manifold which broke and the car just stopped on a dirty road on the Etna... i think that could be the expensive engine failure on this list about that car😂
So. Despite the hate,Nissans arent as bad as some people say they are.
No Italian cars on this list at all. Gonna show this video to all the people that call Italian cars unreliable, and German cars "good quality"
Taking intensive probe for all sorts of catastrophe is nearly impossible no matter what great institute would be in the world.
moral :- go for toyota and corolla
i was actually shocked bmw x5 was there, one of my family members had it for like 11 years!
What’s the cost?? I don’t care how many pounds it weighs.
Teutonic trash
Nissan Altima 2013 should be included on this list. It is an absolute trash of a car.
I disagree with ford, the gearbox issue is after a 100k upto 125k miles because thats the limit where warranty companis stop warrantying cars rest of the cars most likely will be getting their problems at 60-70k miles, he did a fair review but forgot one of the main factors thats average mileage
Read, JD Powell Analytics. I’ve been reading them since 1992. Lexus was always number one reliability. When I bought my BEZ, 2000 E430 4 matic, it was a Lemon. Mercedes, was # 24 in reliability. All three German are unreliable, BMW, BEZ, Audi. Volkswagen, also trouble. Range rover has been rated the most unreliable car of all last year. Jaguars have always been unreliable well for 45 years. Sometimes the Americans make failures no doubt. Bentley, well, Beautiful, problematic. But yet these companies still succeed and they make mountains of money. If you wanna own one of the European cars you need to lease it and unload it at the end of the lease.
So, we need japanese engineered car with italian/german design?
If you are being able to cough up for cars costing 50G-100G, I am sure you are okay to spend that much on a repair cost.. And also may be that is the reason once they pass their warranty period, the depreciation is that high on these cars.. Thank you carwow for warning us..😍😍😍
Hmm... why so many German cars? Ich schäme mich!!!
Renault?
Has anyone else noted a lot of these cars are upmarket expensive cars? Bentley, the worst? And after shelling out all that money!!
Fiat 500 1.4 sport 2010 in 50,000 miles despite servicing according to manufacturers recommendations it suffered gearbox bearing failure at 30k miles plus clutch replacement ,thermostat housing failure, 3 water pumps , Radiator , electrical problems with tailgate and the heated rear window switch panel parted company with the main dashboard . And premature wear on the brake discs and ill fitting bonnet ..

Some people complain about anything.....................
You forgot the old Audi S5
New or certified Tesla are reliable.
Me, a FIAT driver: feeling cheated of my rightful place on the list!
one of the most unreliable car ever made in the history of the automobile industry is the Peugeot 307 in all of its models, this car totally sucks
Years ago, cars were 10x as unreliable as today, wherein many cars simply couldn't start. Now, it's the opposite: the crummier and simpler the car, the more reliable it is, not less. A Mercedes S has an incredible litany of error codes; why, just the suspension, which is inert in most cars, has dozens of potential problems. See the web mechanic sites...
Volvo 850 and S70
bmw that nothing new all of them are junk
L
So mercedes c,e,s are more reliable
bmw e60 with the 4 pot n43. disaster
Fun fact I’ve been thru 3 BMWs and I’m only 20 😅 yet I’m still gonna buy an e92 M3 👌🏾 I do own a Toyota Tacoma that gets me around when my BMWs are being a bit...dramatic really fun to drive when they do work
I've had quite a few Renaults. Currently have a 2015 Megane RS265 Cup. Never had a problem with any of them. German reliability by default is a case of marketing over engineering.
